SKELETON ON A PALLET
Scope of delivery
Making plans:
- workshop plan, which is intended for production on CNC machines
- assembly plan, which is intended for assembly in the field
Delivery of wood that is already ready for assembly (CNC cut):
- wood for external and internal load-bearing walls
- wood for non-load-bearing or partitions
- wood for ceiling construction (ceilings)
- wood for roof construction (e.g. beams, rafters, ridges, purlins, shears, columns)
- option: wood for garage, terrace, garden shed

Options
Options in the package "delivery on a pallet" are:

Materials
The essential characteristics of KVH glued wood are:
- certified wood quality C24
- longitudinally joined glued wood (this "galvanized joint")
- kiln dried at 16-18%
- planed on four sides, with gathered edges
- it is made of spruce or fir trees

The essential characteristics of BSH glued timber are:
- certified wood quality GL24h
- laminated glued wood, where each lamella is also longitudinally joined ("galvanized")
- kiln dried at 12%
- four-sided planed, with all four edges gathered,
- made of spruce or fir trees
- it is mainly used in places where there are greater static loads (mainly spans)

Exceptionally, at the customer's request and responsibility, we also manufacture constructions from sawn wood, e.g. in the construction of skeletons in which straw, hemp concrete, loam or for roofs are installed.
Standard range of skeletons
– construction of the outer and inner load-bearing walls 16 cm (uprights with a section of 6/16)
– construction of the internal non-bearing wall 10 cm (uprights with a section of 6/10)
– ceiling construction 24 cm (ceilings with a section of 6/24 cm)
– drop positions 16/16cm, intermediate positions 16/20cm or 16/24
– rafters 10/16cm or 10/20cm
Other options are also possible, depending on the project, statics, individual wishes of the client, etc.
Why choose standard materials? Because they are always in stock, they are tested and delivery to the house is faster.
Technology
The skeleton on the pallet is completely prepared with the help of CNC technology. In our production, we have two CNC carpentry machines from the world's leading manufacturer of such machines, HUNDEGGER AG from Germany, which ranks us among the companies with the largest CNC cutting capacity in Slovenia:
– CNC Hundegger K2i-5-900 (up to a section of 30/90cm and a length of approx. 20m)
– CNC Hundegger K2-450 (up to 30/45cm section)
– Hundegger HM4 planer (up to 30/40cm cross-section)
The cut is extremely precise, and each piece of wood is numbered with an individual element number - the same number is also written on the assembly plan.
The deadline for delivery of the skeleton according to the "on pallet" system is 4-5 weeks (drawing, cutting, shipping), but in urgent cases the deadlines can be shorter.

Dispatch
In most cases, skeletons on a pallet can be shipped with one truck (trailer or semi-trailer). Do-it-yourself customers often choose to ship in two parts in order to optimize assembly*:
1st shipment: ground floor walls and ceiling
2nd shipment: floor walls and roof
* The advantage of the delivery in two parts is that the skeleton of the ground floor with the ceiling structure is placed on the construction site, which is usually covered with 22 mm thick OSB board. On the second delivery with a HIAB vehicle, the timber for the skeleton can be placed directly on the ceiling where it will be assembled. The advantage of this type of supply is also in the case of a small space next to the building itself, since the total amount of wood for the entire building is relatively large.

This type of construction is an opportunity to build your own house and control the quality of construction.
The price we offer you in the preliminary invoice is fixed from the date of the advance payment and will not change (fixed price guarantee).
Delivery is made throughout Slovenia, namely 3-4 weeks after the advance payment for the material and the difference before shipping. Faster delivery is possible by prior agreement.
We will help you with construction anywhere in Slovenia, and we will also allow you to visit a house under construction so that you can see the implementation of certain details live and talk to other self-builders who are ready to share information.
Depending on the static loads in certain areas, we adjust the construction accordingly in accordance with Eurocode 5 standards (e.g. wind load, snow, etc.).
The workshop plan and assembly plan cover all the details of the wooden structure. Mechanical and electrical installation plans are not covered in these plans. The plans indicate the foundation slab (or other foundation) based on the DGD.

The advantage of skeleton construction is that the skeleton house can be largely assembled by the self-builder himself. Most of the tasks can be done by the self-builder completely alone, but for certain tasks he will need the physical help of friends, acquaintances, and relatives. The self-builder will decide whether to undertake certain more demanding tasks (electrical installations, plumbing, sewage, heating, etc.) himself or leave them to more experienced contractors.
The construction process is usually as follows:
– the transporter places the wood with the hiab directly next to the base plate
- implementation of waterproofing under the walls, if only this is not carried out under the foundation slab
– the self-builder draws the walls on the base plate based on the wall installation plan
- the leveling of the heights can be done before the installation of the walls (preparation of suitable substrates that are attached to the base plate with the help of glue) or before the installation of the ceiling (in this case, you level the top of the wall and properly base the substrates under the wall)
– the self-builder sorts the wood by individual walls, and the wood for the ceilings and roof is placed separately
- the self-builder starts assembling the construction of the first wall on the base plate, then "splats" it from the outside with OSB or fermacell board
- the wall prepared in this way is then placed upright and fixed with slats so that it does not fall over
- immediately after placing the first wall, start assembling the second wall, which meets the first wall in the corner - this connects the walls to each other and prevents them from being knocked over by the wind (in case of high winds, we do not recommend putting up walls)
- the walls must also be fixed in the base plate - this prevents the walls from "moving" on the base plate during assembly
– when the walls of the ground floor are connected to each other and fixed in the floor, we can proceed with the construction of the ceiling
– any wooden or iron ceiling supports are placed first
– the ceiling tiles are then placed on the walls one by one and fixed as they go
– when the ceiling panels are laid, we lay the OSB boards on them and fasten them on the fly (usually with a compressor gun or a cordless screwdriver)
- in the case of a floor plan, draw the position of the walls from the floor plan on the ceiling
- the wood for the individual walls of the first floor is placed on the ceiling and the assembly is started according to the same procedure as on the ground floor
– this is followed by the installation of eaves and intermediate layers, possible ridges and gutters, and finally rafters and shears.
After the completed construction, the roof is completed, and then work continues on the walls, floor and ceiling:
– installation of windows and exterior doors
– external insulation and facade
– installation of installations
– installation of insulation, closing of walls from the inside (e.g. OSB + Knauf)
- execution of screeds with insulation on the ground floor and first floor
– etc.
